Humulin 70 / 30 is a combination insulin that is an intermediate-dominant / short-acting insulin designed for people who have more of a need for blood sugar control between meals as compared to suppressing blood sugar spikes after meals. This insulin starts to work within 10 to 20 minutes after injection, peaks in 2 hours, and keeps working for up to 24 hours.
